lyrics
I know a girl, pretty as hell,
eyes that could lie as they lead you inside
She dances alone in nightclubs,
with all the friends inside her head.
She'll never take on the leading role but she's vital nonetheless

Sunday night the dust settles down, she tells me what went wrong
In the hope that I could make it right, but then, she starts all over again

Line up the drinks, vodka and coke
a brand new face that she swears is the one
And the people look right through her,
as I finish up and leave the bar.
I'll never be in her supporting cast, only ever fix the sets.

And I wouldn't say I'm aching but it hurts to see her down.
There's a sadness around the best thing in town
that every bastard tears apart.
